Polo is also a popular seasonal sport from early December to mid-April. 
 
The ranch comprises 17 villages sprawling across scenic landscapes featuring native wildlife and hiking trails. Lakewood Ranch has the right balance of calm and vibrancy with a wide range of activities, including a healthy nightlife, lots of shopping malls, a farmers market, and plenty of sporting

If you are craving some steak, Korê Steakhouse is only a few minutes away for one of the best tabletop grilling experiences. As for entertainment, Lakewood Ranch keeps things interesting, starting with live music at the Plaza, BOLTS watch parties, or a spirited game at the Sarasota Polo Club. On Sundays from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm, you can also shop at the Farmer's Market on Main for bountiful organic veggies and fruits. 

Things to Do in Lakewood Ranch 

 
With its lively community, plenty of sports amenities, and scenic landscape, Lakewood Ranch never has a dull moment. You will love the seasonal polo events from early December to mid-April. If Polo is not something you look forward to, then playing golf on one of the four extensive golf courses will be an everyday afternoon activity. The largest golf course in the area is a 54-hole course, but you can also play in the smaller 18-hole golf courses in Lakewood Ranch. 
 
In the spirit of outdoor fun, Lakewood has invested in over 150 miles of interconnected walking and hiking trails for jogging, biking, and walking. This neighborhood is also a popular spot for hockey and cricket which you can access at the Premier Sports Club. Finally, Lakewood Ranch has more than 30 stocked lakes for fishing and boat tours. You can also access Siesta Key, Lido Key, Anna Maria Island, and Longboat Key white sandy beaches easily from Lakewood Ranch.
