Welcome to Pelican Cove

A warm and relaxed community along the sun-bathed Little Sarasota Bay

Pelican Cove is a hidden gem on 75 acres along Sarasota Bay. You can choose to nest among its 731 condos within six informal neighborhoods. Homeowners look out on views of the waterfront, woods, lawns, gardens, or sparkling pools. The property could easily be mistaken for a botanical garden given its diverse plantings, a bird sanctuary, and all the Vitamin C you could desire beckoning from the citrus grove. Of course, it’s impossible to top the spectacular vistas (and sunsets) across Little Sarasota Bay. Boredom is unheard of in this community, thanks to its sights, sounds, and plenty of space. For example, water enthusiasts will love its 78-slip boat harbor. It has canoe storage, launch docks, electricity, and water.

Pelican Cove isn't just a cluster of buildings — it's a warm community of friends and families. The vibrant, social, and friendly residents can readily volunteer, making it a dream home. Add the social amenities where local people swarm, and you won't look elsewhere for lively activities—no wonder most people desire to make this wonderful condominium community their home.

From the moment you pass the gatehouse at Pelican Cove and enter the exceptionally lush, forested grounds (10,000 trees, but who’s counting), you know you are someplace special.   In sum, this neighborhood community is vibrant, amenity-rich, well-managed, and well-maintained. This I know. I have lived in Pelican Cove for 16 years.

Local Lifestyle

The residents, be they retirees who live in Pelican Cove year-round, snowbirds, or seasonal renters, are all active adults who are drawn to this relaxed lifestyle. The community is pet-friendly, too. Let your 4-legged pals greet their neighbor friends at the dedicated off-leash dog park!

Pelican Cove is home to an active, lively, and relaxed community. It has three social gathering spots for a warm, come-together, and active lifestyle. After hitting the gym in the exercise room, its six heated swimming pools and a hot tub will welcome you for a splash even in cold weather.

What most elevates Pelican Cove is the combination of recreational activities with an impressive array of cultural offerings and educational opportunities. Six pools, four tennis courts, miles of hiking and biking trails, and a jewel of a private 86-slip boat harbor, make this a haven for the sports enthusiast. The woodworking shop and two art studios, music concerts, and Pelican Cove University are the siren’s call for those who enjoy more contemplative pursuits.   With its outdoor activities, you're spoilt for choice.

Miles of scenic pathways will steal you away from your corner for a while and take you through the lively community. Don't forget to interact with birds in the tropical Selby Gardens along Sarasota Bay. Its lush, mature, botanical-like, and landscaped grounds are inviting.

Main Street Sarasota is just a few minutes' drive away, and it's a bustling stretch of dining and shopping spots. Sprouts Farmers Market gives you a grocery shopping experience that makes your healthy living a breeze. The store has various natural and fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains, and other organic foods under the same roof. Its old-school farmers' market setting has an inviting feeling to anyone looking to go organic.

If you're hunting for Italian tastes with a modern twist, Café Barbosso welcomes you. The live artists will entertain you as you bite and drink to your fill in this humble Peasant Italian spot. Oak & Stone tavern will gladden your moments with craft beer, gourmet fare, and artisanal pizza as you enjoy a casual, laid-back atmosphere with friends and family. What's more, everything from craft cocktails to bourbon and whiskey comes directly from the freshest ingredients.

Are you looking to surprise your taste buds with Peruvian dishes such as ceviches, Seco de Res, and Aji de Gallina? Peruvian Grill restaurant is the place to be. Visit here to grab a memory of its Inca-like theme and inviting ambiance.
